RAKE-IT was just gaining momentum as a new Action Team when AFSC took a pause in early 2026. RAKE-IT was a volunteer-driven team that provided yard maintenance services for Sisters City residents who are unable due to physical, logistical, or financial restrictions to perform the work themselves. The type of work they did included:
Raking and disposing of pine needles and pine cones
Trimming and disposing of overgrown landscaping
Cutting grass
Pulling weeds
Cleaning gutters
Removing pine needles and debris from roofs. This service was limited to what could be done from the ground. If the work required someone getting up on a roof, it would have to be done by a qualified contractor.
